NewsChanges are ComingReaders viewing this website would be aware that I have not made any changes or updates since the 1st May, for which I must apologize. I needed time to seek advice, and once in possession of ALL the FACTS, then make a decision which direction I would take. In early May I decided I could no longer continue promoting and defending PROGRAMS and ADMINISTRATORS whilst at the same time being critical about many aspects of the Surfing Industry. I was of the opinion the only way to rectify this problem was to close this site and my Forum and allow the unethical and unscrupulous element of the Auto Surfing Industry to continue with their LIARS, DECEIT and DECEPTION, however, I was very uncomfortable taking that direction. Having given this matter considerable thought I soon realized what I had to do, "I have never been a DEFEATIST and I was not about to start now." Over the past two months I have received advice from various members of the Business world, plus the Legal fraternity, nearly all advice has been the same. Here is a sample of the messages I received. This one is from a businessman whose opinion and expertise I value and respect enormously: Dear John I fully agree that the autosurf/hyip "adventure" is over and that there is no real business to be made here any more (if there ever was). Further, it seems to me that sites will never be able to live off selling advertising to each other in a scenario which reminds me of musical chairs - where the one who is slowest to pull the money out when the music stops is left with nothing. We have in other words a fully functional network with nothing serious to network about. Considering the type of person we have met so far in this scenario, I have found only a handful who would be, or are capable of other skills than sitting by the computer trying to make a quite utopian fortune without doing anything at all. It seems that there are far too many dreamers involved and very few doers. Together this creates an atmosphere where only the criminals are apparent. Your idea of having a free section and a paid section for fairpatton.com may at first hand seem attractive and relevant. It also ties in indirectly with an idea I have played with off and on this last year (more on that at another, more relevant time). However, although this would more than likely maintain the status fairpatton has gained in the surf/hyip "industry", I cannot imagine any serious businesses, educational institutions etc. wishing to be associated with what is happening in the free section. In my opinion it would be a gargantuan task indeed to attract serious businesses with real products - and indeed the likelyhood of them advertising or selling at all is almost zero. I base this on my own observations and experiences these last 5 years with my company. In the past two years I have advertised only using Auto-surf sites. I have had many thousands of visitors in that time because of the traffic element. But not one single contact has been made to a real customer (i.e. one who was not Nigerian or trying to cheat me) in those 2 years. And in that same time frame I have not seen a single serious business other than on-line businesses advertise on those same sites. This seems to me to point to a dead zone with no future other than decline via anarchy. Rather depressing, but there you are. If fairpatton is to survive in the long term it has to evolve into something else - something other than what it is today - because otherwise the strain of keeping it running will sooner or later exceed the joy of seeing it work. When that happens, everything becomes a drag and the only thing that will motivate you to keep up the work will be that you do not with to lose contact with the very few that you like. And that my friend is no basis for a business. What that something else may be is another matter - and one which we can take up again if you wish, since that is exactly what my other idea has rotated about for a while now. It was time to put my mind to the grindstone, make enquiries, listen to advice, and structure a business plan which was both VIABLE and SUSTAINABLE. As Referral Commission is ILLEGAL according to the advice I have received, NONE of the following PROGRAMS will be promoted by me on Fairpatton, namely, Auto Surfs, Manual Surfs, Hybrids, HYIP's, HYLP's, MLM's, Paid to Click, Paid to Read, Paid to Promote, Matrix's, Randomizer's or Business Opportunities. Further information about this decision can be viewed on the Fairpatton Forum. Due to this decision Fairpatton™s Forum will be a PRIVATE members promotional and chat vehicle for those interested. To provide this service there will be a FEE, ranging from $2 to $5 a month depending upon the plan you wish to participate. The Administrator of Fairpatton™s Forum will be available to answer any of your questions in relation to Membership, Administrators rights and privileges, Advertising and Promoting. You may contact him at adminfpforum@gmail.com I am presently developing a program which hopefully will be available in the very near future. As you can appreciate a business which is VIABLE and SUSTAINABLE cannot be hatched overnight, it takes many hours of time and effort. The business people, and businesses I have discussed this program with, give me great optimism and excitement that we have a formula for SUCCESS. The members who participate in the Fairpatton Forum will be the beneficiaries. Rather than elaborate any further at this point, I will continue to work on my concept. I shall keep all readers fully informed as to the progress we are making. There is a lot of work in front of me as of this moment, but it is work I have never been so enthusiastic about. Until my next update I wish all readers the same as they wish themselves. John McCallum, Administrator, Fairpatton.com |
